We love pieces with a story, this stunning necklace is made with antique red Dutch trade beads and hand made brass leaves. The back beads are combination of wood, hand carved horn, and seeds.
Traditionally the hanging brass leaves were worn through the nose by men from the Pokot tribe, when their daughter weds. Small antique German glass trade beads, old East Africa coins and fish bone beads add to the mix. Not forgetting the center hanging piece which is a Maasai elders earring. No doubt a very special piece.
